Her lessons were engaging, useful, and she was very patient with everyone in class; always encouraging students to try and believe in yourself that you can do better. I came to this country as an immigrant in 2018 and I met Alene on my journey in Adult school. For two years she helped me a lot on how I could succeed and be a better person in the US and helped me to apply to graduate school. It is because of her help and effort that I became a graduate student at the University of San Francisco. This changed my whole world and will help me secure a better future. I’ll always be grateful for her touch in my life and I can't thank her enough. I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in learning.” — Ammar A. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/614e4b01834f3071657547cc/d9427e88-b44c-4816-b662-9d53ecf8dca5/class+port.jpg Praise - “Alene has so much passion for teaching! She made sure to explain every detail to make it clear, including grammar, sentences and vocabulary. After class, she would answer any question I had, no matter if it was from the textbook or about life. No doubt she is a great teacher.” — Shao from Taiwan https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/614e4b01834f3071657547cc/23ad7c2c-7e64-4fd0-8237-b35fc8d8dc34/graduates+portrait.jpg Praise - “I have been fortunate enough to have been Alene’s student for two months in the summer of 2013. She is hands down one of the best teachers I have ever had. I moved from France to California and did not speak English very well. In the span of two months, she taught me the language and introduced me to the American culture. After being her student, my level of English was sufficiently good enough to attend an American Middle School and follow the American program. I am very grateful to have been her student and I highly recommend her. She was very supportive and adapted her lessons to fit my personality. I was always eager to follow her classes. She is not only a great teacher but a great person.” — Chris H. https://www.everythingplusesl.com/tutoring-services daily 0.75 2022-02-10 https://www.everythingplusesl.com/about daily 0.75 2021-12-11 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/614e4b01834f3071657547cc/9888c3bb-2da6-4997-a172-9b0f25afec9f/rounded+portrait+e2.jpg About - Hi, I’m Alene Deyein FOUNDER & LEAD TUTOR Teaching is my calling and my passion. I started as a kindergarten teacher, and moved to 4th and 5th grade, special education (mild-to-moderate learning disabilities) for elementary, middle and high school and then on to adult education. In adult education, I have taught computer basics, Microsoft office suite, English as a Second Language, and Adults with Disabilities. I hold a California teaching credential, as well as certification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL). I have held credentials in Multiple Subjects (K-12) and Special Education (mild to moderate). I have taught for over 25 years and worked with diverse groups of students, including spending five years in Saudi Arabia teaching university-level English as a Second Language. I have loved and enjoyed working with students of all ages and from all over the world! I have yet to meet a student who did not want to learn! I believe it is my job to help them find the best way to love the process of learning. Tutoring is one of the best ways to work with your student. They deserve that chance and that opportunity. https://www.everythingplusesl.com/connect daily 0.75 2021-10-04 https://www.everythingplusesl.com/contact-1 daily 0.75 2021-12-11
